Bury Aikido will be holding an Open Day on SUNDAY, 16th AUGUST 2026 at our dojo at Christ Church Walmersley, School Lane, Bury BL9 5LP. A variety of events including demonstrations, workshops and 1:1 instruction will run from 10:00 until 16:00. Refreshments will be provided, and everyone (but particularly new starters) are encouraged to come along.

What is Aikido?
Aikido is a modern Japanese martial art developed by Morihei Ueshiba as a synthesis of his martial studies, philosophy and religious beliefs. Ueshiba's goal was to create an art where practitioners could train together, co-operatively. Bury Aikido has been hosting Aikido in North Manchester since 1992.
